1. Recite the blessing:


Blessing for the counting of the omer
   Baruch atah adonay eloheynu melech ha'olam asher kidshanu
   bemitzvotav vetzivanu al sefirat ha'omer

Blessed are you, ETERNAL, our God, the sovereign of all, who has
  made us holy with your mitzvot
  and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

2. Count the Homer:

 

Hayom shloshah v'arba'im yom, sh'hem shishah shavuot v'yom echad la'omer.
Today is the forty-third day, making six weeks and one day of the Omer.
